I hit a milestone of $1000 dividend income in a single month. It is a great achievement for me, and I strongly believe I continue to break my own records in the coming months.
Yes! I received $1025 dividend income in December 2017.
This is a pure passive income. I will be keep getting this money in my bank accounts every quarter whether I am at work or in a sunny beach. In fact, I received most of these payments automatically in my accounts while I was enjoying almost 14 days of holiday in December.
Regular readers know that I receive higher dividend income in March, June, September and December. Most of my big holdings hike their dividends in first and second months of the year. Therefore, my March dividend income will be little higher than this one.
It is not an overnight success story. It took me almost 5 years to get this point. If I can keep maintaining this momentum, I strongly believe that I will be in much better position in another 5 years.
I worked really hard to make money and worked even harder to save some money after hefty tax and other deductions, and invested the saving into diversified high quality dividend stocks. After years of this slow and boring approach, I started to feel benefits of ‘compounding power’.
As many of you know, we are an one income middle class family with a 3-years old kid. If I can do this, then you can do even better than me. All you need is right reason with right mindset of financial freedom.
I am sharing all these information in this blog because I just wanted to inspire people to think about their financial freedom and live their life as they wish, instead of trading their life for money.
